Mahjong for those who want to learn and play the game.

Aim of our Group

Mahjong is a fun game played with tiles (lots of them) and keeping to a set of rules you complete hands a bit like some card games. 

Our existing group, who play at different levels, enjoy meeting on Mondays and Fridays in the afternoons in Ribeira Brava. Buses run from Funchal and I can provide details. I can teach the game to complete beginners and now I’m looking to see who would like to learn and on which days, so they can learn together. You don’t need to be an expert to win, it’s a game of luck for the most part! 

You don’t need to speak Chinese but you’ll learn a few words and start to recognise some Chinese characters in time­­-
